Hi, I'm Clifton! I am a native speaker of Cantonese and Mandarin. I have been speaking both languages since birth and have been studying Mandarin at university level.

I have had the pleasure of both teaching and being tutored in Mandarin, so I am able to relate to any queries or difficulties a student may have with all aspects of their learning. Irrespective of whether you are learning Cantonese or Mandarin, I will first ask about your goals and what you would like to achieve in our sessions. Then, we will do a short test and assess your level of the language. Afterwards, we will work on achieving your goals through various methods such as conversations and simple reading comprehension. I will use English in lessons to help introduce and reinforce new words and concepts, so please don't worry if you are starting from scratch! Read less
