I am an English professor from the United States who has taught in both the American university setting and in immersion schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have worked privately with professionals from a variety of different fields including medicine, law, security, and IT/Tech.

Subjects taught include:

Academic Writing/Composition, Speaking (including public), Pronunciation, Listening, Reading, Business English, and SAT-College Exam Preparation

Who I am:

I would describe myself as an enthusiastic teacher, who adores her job and her students! Each student brings with them a unique set of experiences. It's my job as your teacher to identify how those experiences have challenged/supported your learning and then provide the necessary tools that can help you succeed.

As all students learn differently, it's my goal to identify what helps you learn effective and integrate that into our sessions. Are you a visual learner? I'm happy to use a white board or showcase pictures or diagrams. Aural learner? Let's emphasize music and discussion. In addition to integrating your own learning style/preferences, I also guide students through learning new skills using proven teaching approaches and practice. Games, puzzles, etc. are a favorite of mine as well! Read less
